The Inbetween (years.)

Here we are, in the “inbetween”.

The holidays were a flash in time, a busy discombobulation that highlighted that we are still unpacking, sorting, and decluttering. The chaos has placed my year end rituals on hold. I’ve not slowed down once to breathe, let alone consider and create. You can imagine that this has left me feeling a bit untethered.

I’ve had moments to review emails, read through and project tasks, but dreaming… well, no time for that yet.

My workout plan has gone out the window, and with all the holiday sugar around, so has my food. (Even health coaches aren’t perfect all the time, but we do know how to reign it in.)

Here, in the “inbetween” is when the dust settles, I will look around, breathe, and take the time to dream up the future, which actually begins here, with you.

I use the New Year as an anchor.

A place and time to check in, evaluate, and clear my path to the next level. You see, I’ve learned that there really is no failure, no starting over, only leveling up.

For we never unknow what we’ve learned, we never actually get to start completely over, which also means progress we’ve had in the past is never fully undone. In the least, you’ve learned.

For me, this year, will be focused on digging into a protocol that I believe will help me to heal another layer of what seems to be fungus or mold toxicity that happened in my body. It will include extremely conscious food choices, plenty of water, supplements (I never like to take supplements, but here I am!) I will pick my weekly workout routine back up which includes treadmill, elliptical, spin bike, weights, stretching or 🧘‍♀️ yoga. I also love using my step and resistance bands. It will include plenty of spring 💧 water that my husband and I committed to going to get once a month. It also includes ongoing work with my new found Naturopathic Doctor. I’m committed to getting over this, just like I was committed to healing when I came to do this work a decade ago.

I feel like each new year, we are given an opportunity to evaluate our progress, accomplishments, and take responsibility for who we are, the choices we make, and adjust our sails according to the life we want to live.

Call it setting intentions, New Year Resolutions, or a word of the year – what ever works for you is just fine.

This year, I’m inviting you to join me in this ritual.

I am also tossing around the next level of MomPositive and what that is going to look like for 2019. I have big ideas and am excited to share what I have, but time is what I need to lay it out and put it together in a way that is usable for you. Good things are coming!
